CSCO was a great company due to vendor finacing. who is going to finance the orders going forward? No, Cisco wans't a great company due to vendor financing. Telecom companies are going to finance the orders going forward. Sure, they are in debt big time, but communications networks are too important to this country's viability. The optical networks will get built. Then again, i wouldn't buy Cisco shares, but that's for other reasons.
