Maybe the best reparation we can offer is to return all the descendants of slaves back to Africa, and give them the same amount of money they would presumbably have accrued if their ancestors had never been taken from Africa. We could look at the average assets accumulated by those Africans who stayed in Africa -- perhaps $200 per capita? -- and give each slave descendant a ticket "home" and the $200. That would effectively "undo" the slavery process for those descendants. After all, they didn't do any of the slave work, so why should they benefit from it? We'll make them whole as though it had never happened. What more could they ask for?
