Hmm...

Contractors traded back down from the internet model because of the open lid requirement.
Non-clamshell models are very popular .

The primary business communications tool over here is the fax machine.

Ilmarinen, I just "tested" the 9210 here in the U.S. - visiting friends from Europe. Couldn't make any calls of course but the color screen was delicious, watched a video with sound on the screen - kinda gave me an impression what 3G will look like. Checked out a family photo as a wallpaper. etc
I really like the design of the Communicator. One thing that strikes me when you use it as a phone is that the speaker phone is one of the best I've ever used - I have participated in many family functions when a family member first sends a couple of color pictures using the e-mail function and then starts the speaker phone so I can talk to everyone - great if you can't be there.
Another thing: the Communicator is really small! And a serious office communication center!

<< Note you can also hold the open communicator to your ear, and the speaker phone plus microphone are on, smart design. >>

Same "smart design" as the KYO 6035, although the speaker quality of the 6035 leads a bit to be desired, and so does the microphone.

Well actually not the same "smart design" ... somewhat smarter, I would say. The mic is in the face of the keyboard flip (which is generally closed when talking and only open when operating as a Palm).

When I use the 6035 mic/speaker in its desktop charging/synchronization cradle (attached to PC) I wind up leaning forward to about 18 inches from the microphone in order for the party I'm conversing with to hear me clearly.

It is really not a good substitute for a hands free kit when riding in a dash cradle near the steering wheel in my auto, although I occasionally attempt to use it that way, if I haven't plugged into the hands free kit.

Speaker quality (not volume which is fine) at some 3 feet from the phone could be called adequate (barely), and not (quite) garbled.

Nonetheless it is a feature that I do get some utility out of.

Based on my feeble attempt here at a description of same how would you compare the 9210?
