I, as an individual, do pay for my children to go to private school. I think the federal govn. should stay out of education and leave it to the States to handle.

The illogic of your taking your belief to the extreme in Education is that all have had the benefit of the opportunity of and education paid for by taxes for a few generations. As to giving and our Lord's meaning. Our Lord's message is about individual personally giving and money is always in a sense a surplus as when we die we may leave some. But time is always finite and limited and passing our surplus so we have our time is far less the spirit of Our Lord then giving of our need. Your words express a very shallow understanding of the meaning of the words of our Lord as demonstrated in the actions of his life. tom watson tosiwmee
