200mm Front End tools don't process 300mm wafers. To put in robust 300mm pilot lines replacing 200mm capacity isn't going to require backend capacity until demand grows. I see the front end surviving, not thriving, while the backend continues to bounce along the bottom. Your call of another year before backend demand grows may well be right. Nevertheless, it it comes from 300mm wafers, that's still going to require front end orders first. And I suspect we may well see those orders ramp up by year end or early next year. And I've already had sufficient fun waiting. I'm ready for some excitement. ;^) Ian
