When I say a bounce I'm not talking about something that will last weeks or something like what we got in April. I'm more like last Fall/Winter when the Nasdaq tried to build support at 3,000. It tried to build support off of that for about a week and a half. Formed a double top and then collapse. So I'm looking for something like a bounce around or above the April lows that will take the market back up 100-150 points. A 2-3 day rally. Then either a fall right back down or another double top type chart pattern.

I think it will bounce now because of the VIX. It is around 32. And 35-40 is usually the limit. Granted though the VXN is nowhere near where it was at the April bottoms, but I think there will be enough people shorting too late that will be forced to cover. And then people buying thinking it is the bottom. Remember CNBC will be talking about a magic number that will be the bottom and lot of suckers will fall for it.

Who is going to buy!! THE REAL MONEY - the money that controls this market is whom. They are in it for the short term but they love to SCREW the little guy.

A bounce, you bet ya - DO NOT BET AGAINST THIS MONEY - or stand to get creamed. As far as retest of lows, will not happen - why because that is what so many shorts are waiting for and still holding their positions.

Watch and learn, bear market rallies can be the most extreme, never get caught short in one or live to regret it.

We will retest the lows and break them, but in the meantime some shorts will feel some pain first and rethink being short.

Believe it or not, this has gotten extreme and everything has gotten killed, including some companies that now could be called value plays.

Too many folks just think market goes down and down and down - markets do not work that way. The short side just getting way to easy, that is time to have fear being short.

All the best

I agree with you... Also the market is having 5 mini bounces a day which continues to work off a lot of the oversoldness and forces the weaker shorts hands. There is hardly any fear that is apparent.
