Seems to me AMD is gaining mobile marketshare by the day...

Reading the news reports it seems to me they are losing market share day by day...

Where did you get the idea they are gaining share in any market?

Well, they didn't have any mobile offering last quarter, and they introduced the mobile A4 in Q3.

The fact that they had 0 share in Q2 automatically refutes the claim that they are losing mobile share day by day.

Unless they didn't sell a single mobile A4 laptop, it should mean that their mobile market share improved in Q3.

I suspect you didn't catch the key word "mobile" before you posted...

Can't find the source but a company official recently stated, I believe, that 50% of the retail mobile market is attainable within the next 2 quarters.

"Seems to me (from all the news) they have losses coming for this qtr and next."

That would seem to be the case for q3 but too early yet for q4 projection...Just too much depends on whether or not the PC "inventory adjustment" has run its course combined with potentially positive XP impact.
