Re: BKHM - all Si will still be cheapest For Bookham, I see the main question as being how much can be done within the limitations of the Si/SiO2 system. For those applications that they can address, they should still be the low-cost manufacturer. Their success will depend on how ingenious they are in processing light using silicon as the medium. If it really is the Grail, the new Motorola process may have a bigger impact on the GaAs device guys. WT
