My guess....purely a guess, would be we have a sell off at the beginning of the market, and then a major "bounce back" rally.

If this market doesn't have a rally fairly soon, the average investor IMO is going to stop investing in stocks. IMO, that has already happened. Many of the people I know aren't trading stocks, but they are long term "buy and hold" investors. These investors are really worried about the market and their investments. Quite a few of these people are not going to put any extra money into the market unless there is some type of a market "turn around" and a hope that we'll have a recovery. (Or maybe the fear that they will "miss out" on the market recovery, so they will want to add to their investments.)
