If Nortel is bought out it will not be at much of a premium if any. Even a merger will not be good for Nortel as we are seeing with Compaq and HP. For the sake of Nortel shareholders, I do not wish them a takeover or merger as the company would survive on its own and would eventually be profitable enough to see its share value increase substantially ------ but that will take many years. BWTHDIK ps ORCL, MANU, ERICY, and MONI among many others today seemed to enter the capitulation stage.
