I am sorry, but I am not going to argue with you. He was flown in to gave his story at an important dinner. God does allow bad things to happen, but I cannot tell you why Elian's mother drowned. It is tragic. He used Donato and his cousin to locate the child. I never felt that he was using the situation to gain wealth. I talked to him about writing his story, and not once was money brought up. He wanted people to know the "miracle" that took place. It was a miracle that that little boy floated on a raft, and lived. It is a "miracle" that he and his cousin were in the right place at the right time. Donato was staying in FL, with relatives, at the time. I am not aware of where he is now, in FL or NY. Janet Reno's botched rescue was just was tragic as for that little boy as losing his Mother. The picture of that weapon in his face, is frightening.
