Your unbridled cynicism is shattering Jorj's youthful idealism I think his youthful idealism left quite awhile ago:) I think our economy and the worlds is on the brink of the abyss. When I see politicians being part of the problem rather then the solution I could almost go postal. They keep playing partisan games and we may all have serious problems. The deflation of this bubble has already done irreparable harm IMO. At some point people will pull it all and I fear not return to equities for a generation. It has also killed any chance we may have had of permanently fixing the SSI system which is a time bomb set to go off in about 20 years. The wealth lost is staggering. So much for the dreaded wealth effect. Not good IMO.
