Dear QS: Dont forget there is an election next year. I suspect our President and Republican Congress will pull out all the stops to improve this damn economy, much as the Dems would love to have a lousy economy for the election, I cant imagin them fighting it too hard as they wont want the blame shifted to them. So, next 6 mos could prove to be very interesting. I see one to two more interest rate cuts, a continual loosening of the money supply, perhaps a cut in Capital Gains tax rates, and some government incentives for R & D and maybe some other goodies for Corporations. I think at least half of our problem is in perception over reality anyway. Got to get people feeling good about things again. jdn
