Interesting that any dem supporter is maligned for talking points. Don't republicans have talking points? Almost all of Fox news is talking points. The talk of religion on this thread is mostly disturbing. An incredible amount of intolerance from the left and the right. Most of us pay taxes and any debate on the subject boils down to how much is too much. The government needs revenue so taxes shouldn't be zero. My grandfather who came here from Italy when he was 12 always felt it was an honor to pay taxes. My dad resented every cent he paid. We need roads defense laws etc. I always get a bit miffed when I read people saying that they made money without the government's help so why should they pay taxes. In fact the gov helps most businesses and individuals make money by providing a framework of laws that allow business to be conducted with well defined rules that people can work under. Small businesses are the ones that have a gripe against regs because they don't have economies of scale that allows them to follow the regs without great hardship. We can't reasonably cut taxes to zero so lets talk more about how low we can cut them.
