I love the comment I heard yesterday from a WS thick-head, "Consumer spending is going strong, and is not going to let up. Consumers are getting SMARTER about how they allocate their spending"..

Yeah, 4.9% unemployment and rising dramatically, tens (hundreds) of thousands of layoffs and many more to come, negative savings rates for years now....THERE IS NO REASON WHY THE AMERICAN CONSUMER WOULD PULLBACK FROM RECORD SPENDING LEVELS HERE-g
