That's what I was thinking. 1" and 6" lapels looked stupid as did the baggy and tight pants.

Actually, I believe the suit achieved perfection in 1972 with the polyester doubleknit fabric. Repelled all known stains and was impossible to wrinkle.

My dad used to wear one duck hunting in the morning and then went to work without even changing his clothes. Looked perfectly presentable.
