Check to see if you have any available slots.
They'd be covered with a silver or grey piece of metal
between, above or below your video card, sound card and
where the modem currently is. If you do have an available
slot turn off your computer. Remove the phone cord from the
modem. Remove the cover from the computer. Flip flop the
modem and the slot cover and reboot. Do not do this on
carpet the static electricity may cause damage.

this is a fairly good site for the installation of a modem which will cover MORE than you need to move one to another slot
