I hope your child doesn't suffer from colic, though it appears he (or she) might. We avoided that miserable and thus far badly understood malady. Thank God kids outgrow most of them.

I'd hate to have to be burped at my age.

>> now, can he explain colic?

What a coincidence.. I was thinking about colic myself. My daughter suffered from it, so I'm very familiar with the symptoms.

The main symptom is continuous crying for long periods of time. Although this crying can occur at any time, it usually worsens in the evening. Beyond crying, a baby with colic may also look uncomfortable and appear to be in pain. Babies may lift their head or legs, become red in the face and pass wind. Some babies refuse to eat or become fussy soon after eating. Difficulty falling and staying asleep is another common symptom.

You get an interesting effect if you exchange the word "investor" for "baby".

Apparently Mr. Market has infected us with Investor's Colic. That explains some of the shift in focus on the g&k thread.
