<i.Has everyone closed out their positions? I am thinking about maybe trying to close next week, waiting for a bounce (hoping) and perhaps rewriting.

I went to 90% cash last week until the convulsions settle down a bit...I have not sold any contracts for three weeks so I have none to close.

Has everyone closed out their positions?

FWIW, I've been slowly (one position a day, the last three days) closing everything. Down to 3 positions, 5 contracts total. Out of money to buy anything else back. I have netted $780 so far this month, so I'm right on target for my $2000/month average, but somehow the $40,000 beating I've taken otherwise takes the fun out of it.

Oh well.

ARS

Wanted to add that I did buy some calls, and LEAPS, and sell some puts, and that I have left all that alone. They are all under water-pretty obviously-and I hate to take the loss with lots of time left. Thank goodness for the day job.

Also wanted to add that my top 4 positions (CREE, QCOM, LSI, and TQNT) are all up so far today, so things could be worse. Seems I'm an eternal optimist at heart.

Sort of. I've been short QQQ for a couple weeks and cash otherwise. I must say, it's nice to see green instead of red. Last Saturday I put an order in for a pair of Oct 55 QCOM Puts for 3.90 (that Friday's close) hoping for execution on Monday. (I do this from time to time because of my full time job.) Put my order in, but unfortunately QCOM gapped down and my order never got executed. Those puts closed the week at 8.50. Oh, well.
