inventories for zinc are much lower today than they were in previous bottoms in price. of course zinc is trading at depression lows not seen since the 1930's, and sentiment is horrendous. zinc companies are going belly-up or leaving town and very few want in the zinc business. there just aren't a great number of companies in the zinc/lead business these days. the fewer the players the better.
