One of the biggest jokes being floated these days is lowering cap gains. With equities having been destroyed I can't see how this will be stimulative. Another olive to wanna be rich repugs.

The middleclass has no reason to vote Republican except for those who care about conservative issues like power of strict religions, Star Wars, automatic weapons, exploiting public lands cheaply, anti abortion rights, sexists, homophobics and closet racists. Unfortunately those special interests make up about 30% of the country. Then add on the low tax advocates (quasi libertarians who think we either don't need government services or huge government debts are OK) and you have maybe 38%. That is the GOP core. These people will never change thier minds no matter what and have great zeal and power. So they are wrong on all these issues, it's their right. Just don't try to dump those ideas on the rest of us.
