I agree that absolute truth is not based upon any person's belief, concept or idea. But, neither is absolute truth be universally accepted truth. Truth is what is. ALl else is untruth (or lies if you prefer). Truth is outside of beliefs, and it is not subject to popular consensus. Truth is truth. And since truth is absolute, it stands to reason that absolute truth can be grasped (at leas to the extent of our puny minds)

Any search for "truth" that requires it to fit into one's prejudiced concepts is useless. And any person standing next to absolute truth is going to be very uncomfortable, because the truth ain't always pretty. That said, I prefer even the ugliest truth to a pretty-painted lie.
