I don't have to drive faster than 70 on I395, which is the freeway I use most. 65 will usually do. But the beltway between I395 and I66, a regular route of mine, unless it's stopped up, I regularly drive in the left lane at 80 to minimize my risk. Even at that I have to watch my rear view mirror and prepare to get out of the way or be swerved around. Fortunately, I drive a car in which 80 feels like nothing so I'm not all that conscious of the speed, or I would be scared.
