Dear Charles: Actually the consumer has been holding up pretty well which is the main reason things havent gotten worse, IMHO. However, I see the wholesale goods reports indicates supplies are really dropping now. I think what REALLY happened was a lot of stockpiling was going on to protect against lack of supply during the BOOM. If I am right then its only logical that production will begin to pick up in the near future. I think by calendar year end things are gonna look a lot better. I hope so cause I am beginning to worry about you. JDN

Dismal earning result from poor performance. And the market has been performing poorly for at least 18 months, well before Bush took office...
