yeah well i couldn't resist some halloween puts on ge when it peeked it's head above 40. i'm sure all the other put buyers and myself marked some kind of oversold gang tackle and the market will bounce next week, but there is always that off-hand chance that oversold conditions on a friday become even more oversold next week as people panic. that's why i bought octobers instead of front month puts.

i think i might be through with shorting nasdaq stocks for the time being and i'm going to switch into buying puts on financials and other bloated pigs on the nyse. that's where the real opportunities are. puts on nasdaq names are just too pricey.
