Dear Peter: I remember it, thats the FIRST time I got wiped out!! I thought it was 72/73 though. I think some give politicians too much credit for anything related to the economy. Frankly, IMHO Clinton was very lucky, his tax increases, business regulations and all, if anything, should have STRANGLED business. He was just lucky enough to catch the UPSWING on the business cycle. Thanks to AG they finally managed to choke THAT OFF as we just couldnt continue to absorb the heavy regulation, high taxes and finally high interest rates anymore. Now, the reverse is beginning to occur. Rates dropping, money becoming more plentiful, regulation easing and hopefully taxes easing. No one can say WHEN all this will cause an economic upswing but I think its safe to say eventually it will. JDN
