Our small union doesn't have a hall. Our executive committee meets in a little rented office about a block or two from the plant. Few chairs, fax machine, table, telephone and answering machine, few file cabinets ... that's about it. I got to tour the corporate offices several years back. In the main restroom I noticed that the faucets in the sink were gold-plated. Actually, in recent years the union vote has split about 55-45 in favor of the Democratic presidential candidate. So I always laugh when I read from right-wingnuts on this thread about how corrupt/Democratic/liberal unions are. You and the other union bashers are cutting down a large number of Republicans ... millions, actually ... when you bash with a broad brush. So keep it up.
