IBD on Ego, Fear, and Greed...

Message 16318857

Best Regards,

Scott

BTW, I have set some targets on 'that debt free goal'...That's a much higher priority for me now than pumping a lot of new money in the market.

I really enjoyed my time in Michigan last weekend...it was lots of fun...the time on the water with relatives was a great way to recharge. I'm staying in Chicago this weekend to work on a project and prepare for a big week. This software licensing deal I have been working on is finally going to close -- boy it took incredible patience and some creative proposals to get to where we are. The young software firm I am consulting with is just about to sign its first agreement and license its source code to the broadband test division of a large global company. The amazing thing is that after months of successful trials we have convinced this Fortune 500 firm to pay us almost $1/2 Million for our software and support services. Young technology companies without much history usually have very little leverage (especially in this market <G>). We did have to discount the price and agree to accept payment spread out over 3 fiscal quarters though. This initial deal will pave the way for other deals and give our self-funded firm some momentum. I won't take anything for granted UNTIL the official agreement is signed and we have the first check (we're targeting Oct. 1 for signing). This has been a great learning experience for everyone on our team. I plan to continue consulting but will be scaling into a new job in Q4. Things will get busy this Fall and I won't be out on the porch as much.

Hope your family and civic activities go well this weekend.

Hi RR! Yes!

I believe strongly that everyone should have a goal to become debt free and not owe anybody a dime. As you become debt free, it allows you to assume more risk, and hopefully even better returns.

better returns You got that right in a whole lot more better ways than in the market.....including stress free......if your health is good not a whole lot to worry about.......that really is stressfree living.....

now if we can just get back to Covered calls we could have a double stress free life......maybe soon. :-)

That is funny RR. I was thinking a little while ago....."I use to have all I wanted and now I just have all that is needed...actually happier..........." (out of the mouth of a dude.)

Have a good one,

dealie dude
