I visited EMC this 2 months ago or after the July 5th massacre. I was talking to a "secretary" at a front desk waiting for a investor relations guy to show up. I mentioned their 401K plan. She said they are all pretty "unhappy campers" with the price of the stock. IR guy said there is a lot of business, but some of their stuff is too big for companies. They seem to be working on trying to de-tune some of the equipment to make it more affordable and allow an upgrade in the future. They are doing a LOT of software work getting all sorts of platforms to work with their equipment. It would seem there will be a lot of pentup demand if business gets better.

perhaps emc was overpriced when it was over $100/share

Well, it did a nice triangle > at the top. I usually take a drink if somebody leads me to the water well.
And Bill Clinton is a lucky character. With his luck I kinda figured the market would tank after he left office. I can almost hear a repeat of Bush's dads refrain: "It's the economy stupid"
