Thanks Allan for a great Saturday morning post.

For the bears, it's very hard to hold firm in the face of continued winnings. The last 20 years have conditioned the bears to be far more fearful of a quick move than are the bulls.

I could not agree with you more in the above comment. While the short side must be favored currently, I am trying to find a "combination" between long and short using balance and allocation that insulates me from the wild swings and/or sudden moves you speak of above. Nirvana ? perhaps, but try I must.

Thank you for your daily market insight, I read you with attention and find you to be one of the most balanced heads around.

This morning's post, even if truncated, told me that finding balance in the markets is easier if the search starts when you have balance in life as well.

Enjoy your weekend.

With the money they must be losing this past summer I would not be surprised to see those little white football betting sheets being added to their portfolio soon...

BTW My Picks:
I'll take Jet +1 over Manning's Colts
Give me the Packers -5 1/2 in Lambeau over Detroit (Farve is feelin good!)
And The Rams -4 over the Eagles

...and why not...
Give me my Giants +7 over the Broncos in their new fancy stadium on Monday Night.
The Giants' defense will win this game for them.
...then again Kerry Collins may crack under the pressure of primetime once again...

Anyone else got a pick?
Reply to this post and I'll keep score...
Allan will award fabulous prizes to the winners.
