Of course he's invested in NT and nobody would disagree that he would prefer NT to be 105 or 205 rather than 5. The point many posters make is that management has been able to "have it both ways." I.e., when stock goes up, happy shareholders never question huge packages or bonuses, perks and parachutes, given by management to management. In this case, we're talking hundreds of millions of dollars which sure would look good at NT 's bottom line.

Then when the stock tanks, that same management runs around and says "ain't my fault, it's the economy,stupid." Real question for me is why more shareholders don't try to force give backs or at least huge prospective cutbacks of these obscene payments.

I haven't reviewed his insider trading but I'd be willing to bet he cashed out a lot of options when bce "hedged" their nortel position. The writing was on the wall...
