My opinion is that the economy would have gone into a modest slide but quickly recovered as Clinton would announce government initiatives to shorten the slide. This would enhance public confidence in the economy, which is what is needed at the moment.

To Brian: as a replacement for Greenspan...how about Former Secretary of the Treasury....Rubin?

On The CSCO thread they are busy tearing apart Greenspan. You would think that he was a Budda in a Muslim country.
