Actually, I agree completely with what you said, with the exception of the government budget impact. The media has really run amok on the negative side lately. If I didn't believe the media and analysts were pretty much worthless POS's I would be very negative on the future myself.

There seems to be a pretty ridiculous level of doom and gloom out there right now but maybe it can get even more ridiculous :o)

Timing is important though...I intend to scale into stocks that I feel are oversold (mostly for position trades).

I agree with you that its perception that counts...The Chicago Tribune today is highlighting the new Unemployment numbers on the front page (so is the New York Times)...The media is very good at over-hyping things. They help boost the fear across the country very quickly. Remember, fear is often false education appearing real...=)
