How many dot coms are above their IPO price? How many are making a profit? Most of these companies should have never gone public. How many will survive another year?
Not a whole lot, I'll bet.

Big Media is focused on those gimmicy .coms who had nebulous ideas for milking the public's pockets. Typical, these are the most visible and make good copy. They miss the real story about the value the internet is adding to the market. This is a more complicated story. Takes some effort to develop that kind of story so the lazy jerks in Big Media miss it completely.

Now if you look at a paper or TV or listen to the radio they are radioactive. Every .com died. The media gets a mantra and true or not it's chanted until it's quoted by the masses.
