can I get my money back from the program's makers?
I think Linux is free, so it's hard to get money back.

As an aid in encryption there is a new class of random number generators being added to computer chipsets, particularly the server class components. These have a transistor balanced at the point of switching and triggered by the output of a hot resistor line. The chipset counts the number of event triggers from the switch over a short defined period of time and sends the least significant bit to the output latch. 32 of these circuits produce numbers every few microseconds which are thought to be truly random. Coming soon to a computer near you!
