I would suggest that after this thread's subject is let's say getting boring, we move to a new thread which will deal with the Abracadabra issue. For fear that casual passers-by would mismisunderstand (sic! add some more 'mis'es if you deem appropriate;) this word, we could call the thread "The coming business designs of 2002[*]". What this world will need for some time coming, is reality-anchored optimists.

[*] we have to default on the rent and move on at least once a year ;.

>>Then there is driving by looking to the rear mirror instead of the windscreen. Those are the ones that swear that this is a repetition of the past. And it will work out like some past experiences. Let them keep looking to the rear mirror. They going to face that 18-wheeler full-throttle, no air bag is going to cushion that. <<

Yes!

But looking out the windscreen may not prevent it, either. Ever seen an 18-wheeler flipped over on its side? They do that around here from time to time, due to the crazy drivers who cut in front of them. What seems like the entire Atlantic seaboard gets stuck for hours until a crane can pick them back up.

Thank the Lord I've never watched one flip over except on TV or the movies. If you are far enough away to react, you'll probably make out ok, but if not, your number is up no matter where you're looking.
