This weeks Earnings Outlook

For the next couple of weeks, investors will focus more on the revised earnings
estimates for the third quarter rather than on the second-quarter earnings
announcements, since all major companies have already declared second-quarter
results.

A few companies will announce earnings next week, the important ones being
Oracle Corp. (ORCL) and Adobe Systems (ADBE). Oracle is expected to earn 8 cents
a share, compared to 8 cents a share for the same period a year earlier and 15
cents a share in the fourth quarter. The consensus estimate for Adobe Systems is
a profit of 28 cents per share.

Some of the other companies that will announce results this week include
Intrawest (IDR), Heinz (HNZ), Salton (SFP), Stewart Ent. (STEI), ABM Industries
(ABM), Brady (BRC), General Mills (GIS), JLG Industries (JLG) and Wallace
Computer (WCS).
