I remember when Intel's PE used to be between 14 to 15 (during the early '90's). 18 was considered high. Anything over 22 was way too high.

In the '70's (based upon historical reports) Intel's PE was around 8 at one time.

Fortunately, Intel can be good at cutting costs.
