Why has Colin Powell lost power? Because he's far too "liberal" for this administration. They gave him the job and put him on-stage but basically used him to try and get elected then sent him off to Third World nations. Meanwhile Israel and Palestine burn and Bush does nothing but blame Arafat. (as if he knows what to do anyway) Meanwhile Rice runs the roost now and is stridently hawkish and right-wing in her world views. She's a real ambitious lady. I'd watch out for her, America. Will she soon become the new Secretary of State? Or she in fact already that in effect? She was trained as a Russian expert during the Cold War. She may be stuck in a time warp like Cheney, Rumsfield and the rest.
