How about VRSN and QLGC popping on Friday?? Probably was funds buying trying to squeeze late shorts out.
I doubt it was hedgies covering, IMO, because I didn't see too many other stocks act that way.

Hey, that's another thing, CNBC mentioned the other day after calling around, some hedgie said they weren't covering until the Nasdaq goes below previous lows. Now, many might think it's hogwash, but, I remember over the summer, CNCB had called around and hedgies said they were hitting the Nasty at 2200 every time it got there. Now, it sure as heck looks like they did it, and it was a good call.
See, CNBC is good for something, hee hee.
Personally, unless something changes in news-land, I don't think funds will come in buying either unless we break the lows, just my opinion-after the employment number.
