Correct, the real tax cuts benefit the wealthy families, not the working class at all. But the worst sin of all was the energy gougings. We can now see they were highly manipulated, abused and all to help Bush-Cheney (perhaps even organized by Bush-Cheney) and to deliver their donors windfall profits, sinking us deeper into recession.
