Not for want of trying. One humorous note: As Hamas gets stronger and Arafat weaker, we will now be treated to the Hamas-PA unity government negotiations. Wonder what promises Arafat will use to string them along? That he won't actually share power (until he's defeated) goes without saying, imo. Arafat hasn't survived this long by ever sharing power. He occasionally makes agreements to buy time when he's weak, though. I'm looking forward to Hamas (a much smarter and less corrupt outfit) getting the joy of Arafat's "agreements" and "ceasefires".
