Hi Dan,

Thanks and thanks - I'll have to check slingshot out further.

Redundancy in systems is a form of insurance - you pay the premium and hope not to have to call your agent for a claims form, but if you do have to, it's critical for someone to answer the phone. The Sprint/Earthlink connection is the one my kids use for access, but with them back in school I can use it for a second connection. The Slingshot idea is appealing as I wouldn't have monthly bills for "insurance" just a paid CD for emergency use. Do you happen to know who they use for backbone access? I haven't found that on their site yet. Also I run WIN NT, so I'll have to find out if that is supported (I see that min req is WIN95, but often WIN95 or 98 programs do not work on NT). Guess I'll be contacting customer support. Thanks again for the lead.

Peace and Justice --- Patrick
