That wasn't the question... and besides you're quite wrong.

The Eqyptians kept Palestininians in refugee camps and unemployed during the time they occupied the Gaza Strip and Jordan annexed the West Bank. Gaza was, in effect, considered part of Egypt.

And here's a theoretical question for you... What if Jordan and Egypt had managed to conquer Israel in 1948 (they came very close)..

I sure they would have immediately founded a Palestinian state, right? And I'm sure they would have ensure the economic prosperity of every one of those Palestinians.

I think you already know the answer to that one...
