Who is fooling who? Do you believe that there would be a huge difference if the temperature was 104-108 instead of 110 to 115?? I suppose people wouldn't need their air conditioners as much!!! LOL Maybe the population just gets together under the misters that are common on the main drag in Palm Springs.

Death Valley is one Heck of a ways away from Palm Springs........I have been to both places......many times and know the area quite well.

Locale means nothing in this state as you should know. Where I live it could be 110.........drive over the Santa Cruz Mts. and in twenty minutes it will be 70 or 65.....you'll need a jacket.

Palm Springs in east of Riverside and a good 120 miles south of southern tip of Death Valley which is quite a large land track. If it's so cool in the state why don't you go camping out by Furnace Creek in Death Valley? Should be nice and cool according to you!!!! LOL
