Dorine,
Hi!!

RE: Of the world's top five PC makers, only one, current market leader Dell Computer Corp. (DELL), managed to grow during the second quarter, according to IDC and other market forecasters

The most obvious reason...Perhaps...Why DELL is choking everyone else off...Yeah, they call it a price war...But, I believe this was a totally planned strategy on the part of DELL prior to the "price war"...IMO the economic sputtering here has only accelerated the move to DELL...DELL is not just less expensive...DELL is the better overall economic deal for anyone...
Michael has talked about the entire company becoming "FRICTIONLESS"...The manufacturing efficiency that amazed us during the tours was still a long way from being as efficient as their plans on the drawing table...Why is DELL the envy of the others? Well, seeing is believing and knowing the others aren't even close is very convincing...What is mindboggling is Michael still has plans to make the current model obsolete...

Best, Kemble
