I certainly hope you're right. The rumors coming out of the company are for something like 12% layoffs, and very weak sales. They've been quietly laying off people for some time.

IBM Introduces World's Fastest Midrange Server New Eight-way IBM eServer Outperforms Twelve-way Sun UltraSparcIII System Costs 33% Less biz.yahoo.com My guess is that this trumps SUNW's press release about gaining UNIX server share. Since SUNW is losing money and IBM continues to have faster and cheaper products, I have a hard time imagining how I can believe SUNW is coming out ahead. The market seems to have the same problem judging by relative performance of the two stocks. JMHO, Scott
