This randomness gives the powers of "initial conditions" enough force, IMO. No matter how determined you think the "ride" is, there is a psychological and physical component that affects EVERYTHING, but is non-deterministic and has non-local aspects. Your ability to respond, the response itself, and many other non-linear effects sum to be equivalent to free-will. We aren't wind up toys, we are complex systems. We aren't and can't be described as just billiard balls, but rather by the more difficult mathematics of complex systems.
