I know I'm being a homer here but word all year has been that Favre looked great in camp. Yesterday we went 22-28 and 4 we dropped passes. He really looked like he did back 5 years ago. Now I know QB's have bad weeks but I'm telling ya, if he plays even close to 96-97 levels that guy is the MVP. He has such passion for the game and plays with such heart. I can think of many better pure passers but I can't think of many QB's I'd rather have to start and finish a season with. The Kid is a just a joy to watch.

Actually, the game did not unfold as you predicted. It unfolded exactly as I predicted - a defensive war. You called the over, like a sucker, and the game went under, of course. Also, Garcia did not reach 400 yards, as you predicted. In regulation, he was probably under 300.

You said Carter and Bradford will be had - in fact Bradford's injury hurt us.
You said Vaughn and Hamilton are hurt - Vaughn wasn't hurt and he was THE guy they picked on; Hamilton was healthy, played well, and then got hurt - leading to the breakdown.
Also, Ambrose cramped up, missing some key action late in the game

The bottom line is that the Niners had 150 yards and 3 points for the first 3 quarters, and even with the 4th quarter charge against the 3rd string ended up with an embarassing 16 points in 5 quarters. It was the Falcons offense which lost the game with conservative play calling and by playing around with the rookie QB.
