I was only speaking for the rest of us.

The rest of whom? Exactly who did you intend to include in your "all"? Not all, that's clear. But which subset? Everybody except me?

Prayer is individual. It works or it doesn't.

And your basis for saying this is, what?

There's a saying, which I neither endorse nor challenge, which says "God answers all prayers. Sometimes the answer is no."

And saying it works or it doesn't is a bit simplistic. I mean, you could say the same about my computer. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Certain drugs work for some people, not for others. That doesn't mean we toss the drug out and say it's useless. It means that we try it and when it works, great, when it doesn't, well, it didn't.

Solon, these posts aren't up to your usual standard. You write "Forget this crap about "studies"." I think that' the first time Ihve heard you swear on this thread. I could be wrong, but it's not your style. You seem overtly hostile, not your usual logical discussing self.

You dismiss out of hand studies by reputable scientists done under fairly well controlled circumstances (no human study can ever be perfect, but we don't dismiss them for that reason) because they suggest an answer that is disagreeable to you. That, too, is not your usual style.

This seems to be a topic that raises your blood pressure more than usual. Perhaps you shouldn't discuss it any more.

Or maybe you should pray about it. <bg>
